| As a result of her death, a ministry was founded. Shirley is an inspirational speaker. She is a writer, publisher, and director of Chris Whaley Ministries. The ministry sends literature and books to those hurting from the wounds and complexities of life. Shirley's book, Chris' Miracle, has touched thousands of lives. It is a moving and personal account of Chris' struggle with Lou Gehrigs disease and her ultimate victorious triumph and home-going to heaven. Shirley has also written a children's story entitled Susie and Jason's Discovery, which as been widely used to help children understand and relate to death. God has used Shirley, with her warm and vivacious personality, to help many take the ashes (difficulties) of their lives and receive healing from the Lord and turn it into blessings for others. Shirley has recently remarried to John Magnuson. John is very supportive and assists her in the ministry. They reside in Greer, South Carolina. |
